Historical information on the rifle and the gunmakers Tatham & Egg
The London gunmakers Henry Tatham and Joseph Egg made this flintlock rifle around 1816. This model served as a master for my replica.
If you look at the time of manufacture, it is amazing that this flintlock rilfe was made exclusively for sport shooting at this time already.
In the book "Der neue Støckel" by Eugène Heer, the following can be found in Volume 2, page 1267, on Henry Tatham or Tatham & Egg respectively:
